Alysia Aparicio

Alysia is a Primary Therapist at Avery’s House, where she provides individual, family, and group therapy to strengthen each adolescent’s mental health during their stay. Alysia has been with the company since she started as an intern back in 2020. Alysia graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling with an emphasis in trauma. She has experience working with both adolescents and adults. Alysia uses a client-centered, humanistic approach, focusing on aspects of existentialism, mindfulness, family- systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Alysia has experience working with anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma- related diagnoses, and other life experiences. In her spare time, Alysia can be found reading a good book, or planning her next trip to Disneyland.
